JOB SUMMARY

The Youth Services Coordinator serves as a critical connection between homeless youth ages 18-25 in Palm Beach County and services provided at Vita Nova’s the Spot drop-in center. This position serves as the first point of contact at the front desk with a high level of direct client interaction to promote engagement in a safe and welcoming, trauma-informed environment for team members, partner agencies, volunteers, and Vita Nova youth. Essential duties include but are not limited to: screening and orienting eligible youth in compliance with safety protocols, facilitating access to essential services and the GED program, providing information on available services and agency procedures to walk-in guests as well as phone and online inquiries, collecting and maintaining data for various services, and assisting with other assorted tasks to ensure smooth operations at the drop-in center. This role requires advanced organizational skills, proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, as competency in basic form and graphic design platforms such as JotForm and Canva. The Coordinator collaborates with team members across programs to build a healthy, cohesive team culture that embraces and reflects VNI’s mission, vision, and the Vita Nova Way. The Coordinator works onsite, primarily at the Spot drop-in center, with the ability to travel to and from other locations as needed. The Coordinator must be available weekdays 9am-5pm with some evening and weekend work required to meet the needs of the agency.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer front desk functions to greet, screen, and orient guests at the Spot drop-in center Provide information on available services, agency procedures, and community resources Connect youth with appropriate team members and facilitate access to essential services Answer calls and respond to online inquiries, referrals, or other requests for services Utilize a trauma-informed approach in implementing and enforcing established safety protocols Apply de-escalation tactics to help respond to crisis situations and behavioral incidents Execute daily opening/closing procedures for a clean, safe, and welcoming environment Utilize HMIS, agency portals, and internal tracking systems for timely and accurate data Conduct data tracking, collection, and reporting for various services, including the GED program, Sleep Spot, food pantry, clothing closet, shower, laundry, and computer lab Help maintain timely logs and perform all necessary functions to maintain a safe and effective food pantry in compliance with contract requirements and all relevant regulations Assist with ordering/organization of deliveries and donations for food pantry and clothing closet Participate in daily completion of referrals, admissions, guest logs, transportation to and pick-ups from the Sleep Spot in accordance with program standards Maintain logs for fire drills and inspections to ensure compliance Utilize JotForms, Canva, or other design tools/platforms to create and maintain forms, flyers, program calendars, and other printed materials Support Spot Leadership with other various day-to-day tasks for smooth and safe operations This is a sampling of job duties. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in social services or a related field preferred Prior experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably with at-risk youth and in a housing/human services non-profit organization Ability to provide services with a trauma-informed, client-focused approach Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Competency in basic form and graphic design platforms such as JotForm and Canva Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment Advanced communication, organizational, and customer service skills Sound judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills Ability to complete tasks timely and accurately with minimal supervision Valid FL driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to join company insurance policy Successful completion of a Level 2 Background check and drug screen is required
