Job Description
Legal Assistant with Personal Injury Focus Law Offices of John R. Mathias, P.A. 405 6th Street South, Saint Petersburg, FL 33701 Established attorney office, 34 years in practice, needs a legal assistant with personal injury litigation experience. The position involves all aspects of handling a claim from start to finish under the direct supervision of the attorney;
- assisting with client’s property damage, opening new cases.
- contacting medical providers and obtaining medical bills and balances
- assisting with demands for settlement.
- drafting initial complaints/discovery. E-filing documents.
- assisting in completing litigation discovery with clients.
- Scheduling depositions and mediations.
- Assisting with Trials.
Prior personal injury litigation experience necessary. Preference will be given to Florida Certified Paralegals, but not necessary. You will be dealing directly with clients daily. Social media knowledge is helpful. It is anticipated that work will done in the office, not remotely. Experience with case management system Filevine, helpful. The position is in downtown St. Petersburg office. Salary based on experience. Year-end bonuses based on performance of the firm.
