  • Have exceptional organizational/communication skills, and have computer proficiency to assist with coordination of daily meal delivery program and assist Executive Director to lead Thrift Store and other tasks.

This position supports the organization’s Executive Director with day-to-day clerical functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Duties include, but are not limited to, record keeping, correspondence, letters, volunteer and recipient coordination, volunteer orientation, data compilation, spreadsheet analysis, customer service and fundraising procurement. Duties may include, but are not limited to, cross-train working with Quickbooks entering payments and Donor Database coordination

  • entering & maintaining donations.

Responsible to ensure that processes and procedures of Thrift Store are accurately completed daily under direction of Executive Director Assists in the coordination and implementation of special projects under direction of Director. Duties include, but are not limited to, procurement activities, research and data analysis, and assisting with project task coordination. May be responsible to guide and lead lower level clerical staff if instructed by Director. May be responsible to ensure that processes and procedures are properly implemented and that projects are being performed in an efficient and effective manner. Assists in the daily operation of an extremely busy office by answering phones, processing correspondence, assisting recipients/volunteers/Director, filing/processing incoming and providing general office administrative support. Assists callers to successful resolution of their requests. Maintains routine systems set up by Director for Volunteers, Recipients and Donors. Perform other related duties as assigned including but not limited to: general office errands (mail, supplies, deliveries, etc.) as needed. Recognize our #1 Goal of Meals on Wheels Mission

  • To serve a nutritionally balanced meal and a daily contact to the home-bound of Polk County.

Meet our goals with a positive attitude. Reports and works closely with the Executive Director. Backup, Assist & Cross-Train for other office employees. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Additional duties may be assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Superior people skills; able to interact with management, peers and the general public while maintaining professionalism at all times Must maintain discretion, confidentiality and political impartiality Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner Outstanding organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented and able to check work with a high level of accuracy Willing to continually learn about processes related to Meals on Wheels Multi-task under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines Prepared to be flexible, we are a team and you may be asked to help in another area if we are short-handed or deliver meals if we have a cancellation and no on-call driver available Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, spreadsheets, and databases. Ability to work well with others. Advanced general office skills. Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable Experience a plus
