Administrative Assistant, PT 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Lakeland, FL 33801 The part-time administrative assistant for the School of Education is responsible for supporting the Dean of Education in furthering the mission and goals of the School through clerical, organizational and administrative support functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Act as a receptionist in providing friendly and efficient customer service by answering the phone and greeting faculty, students, staff, and visitors. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment; provide daily support for faculty and staff (sort mail, make coffee, etc.). Keep office equipment (e.g. copy machine) maintained and ready for use; keep department supplies in stock and in order. Work with other departments and offices on campus to provide necessary services. Assists Dean with various reports. Assists with ordering faculty supplies. Assist Dean with clerical needs to include filing system. Keep supplies in stock and in order and maintain office equipment such as copiers (i.e., maintenance and supplies). Contribute to the success of the School of Education by performing all other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the College.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 years previous experience in an administrative support role preferably with a higher education institution and/or Education setting. Must be proficient with MicroSoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must have strong written and oral communication skills Must have strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task.
