$31.3K – $36.5K a year 15 hours ago Qualifications BLS Certification Employment & labor law Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree Organizational skills Computer skills Clerical experience 2 years Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description The Unit Clerk provides administrative support functions to the Inpatient Services Leadership Team for the Inpatient Programs which include: Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), Short-Term Residential Treatment (SRT), and Lakeland Stabilization Unit (LCSU) staff. While the Unit Clerk is assigned to particular Campus, support may be offered to either Lakeland or Bartow throughout the shift. This team member reports to the facility RN Supervisor and functions as a member within the interdisciplinary inpatient team to provide a safe, therapeutic environment and support clients in the stabilization of crisis and reintegration to the community.

Essential Duties/Requirements/Activities:

Must be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned. Attends all scheduled work hours, meeting, training, and other center functions, including on-call as required. Answers calls and takes messages. Provides clerical support to the Director of Inpatient Services and the Nurse Supervisors of the

CSU, SRT & LCSU

(collectively the “Inpatient Leadership Team”). Assists in arranging work schedules for

CSU, SRT, LCSU

staff. Sets interview appointments upon request of Inpatient Leadership. Reviews monthly SSN Incorrect Pseudo SSN reports and makes necessary corrections. Oversees BA Cover Sheet submissions to Baker Act Reporting Center. Pulls and monitors ObservSmart reports. Monitors purchase orders to see that supplies are ordered and received for all Inpatient Services. Attends all Inpatient Staff Meetings, takes notes and makes sure copy of minutes are available. Reviews client records to complete audits related to regulatory requirements (e.g. Seclusion/Restraint Report) for all Inpatient Services. Assist with form development as needed for the Inpatient Services. Coordinates schedules for the Inpatient Leadership Team. Monitor and follow up with inpatient staff regarding education & training deadlines Arrange, Coordinate and Conduct New Hire Orientation/Onboarding for facility new hires Coordinate Facility trainers for Aggression Control Technique training. Maintain data and produce reports related to Quality measures for the Inpatient Programs (e.g. Seclusion/Restraint data, Police Logs, Weekly Summary Reports) for inpatient facility as well as other various quality improvement tasks. Provide daily shift report to Unit Clerk at other facility. Manage patient transfer referral requests. Assist with registering and verifying insurance for patients as needed. Maintain and file important paperwork for all Inpatient Services Oversee and ensure the probate court documentation is completed in a timely manner for all Inpatient Services Responsible for overseeing and maintaining petty cash Schedule meeting rooms for Inpatient Services and conference calls for the Inpatient Services Leadership Team Meter outgoing mail, prepare certified mail and contact FedEx for pick-up Assist with duplicating, collating, binding and mailing documents Ability to professionally communicate with other employees and outside vendors, as required. Ability to take feedback and guidance from supervisor. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma Experience:

Two years’ professional experience with clerical skills.

Certifications:
None Training:

Complete all PRC required trainings and12 hours of professional enhancement training. Complete all contact hours required for certification renewal (if applicable) Attend all PRC clinical and administrative functions deemed appropriate by supervisor. Complete Aggression Control Technique (ACT) training

Knowledge and Skills:

Computer skills- Microsoft Office, Credible, ObservSmart, OnShift and Internet Ability to work independently with little supervision. Nurse Supervisor Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the job is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects.
