  • Thursday 8:45 am
  • 5:15 pm from June
  • August.

This is a temporary summer role.

General Purpose of Job:

To provide assistance to camp staff in office and administrative tasks as well as serving as a driver of camp vehicles.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Serves as reception for individuals visiting camp office, and communicates with parents/guardians, guests, Quest staff, and outside vendors.
  • Answers camp phone during hours of operation, directing calls and messages to appropriate parties.
  • Acts as registrar, processing camp registration paperwork, following up with families and group homes for missing information or forms, and communicating with other Quest departments as needed (accounting, group homes, etc.).
  • Provides secretarial support to camp staff (i.e. copying, data entry, ordering, etc.)
  • Ensure all required paperwork for check in day and each session is printed and distributed in time to all departments for the beginning of the session.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed and filed at the end of each session.
  • Takes photos, screens camp photos and updates online photo camp album daily.
  • Oversee orders and delivery of items, as well as accounting for finances daily during each session.
  • Manages incoming and outgoing camp mail for campers and staff including providing postage.
  • Ensure the office is cleaned and trash taken out daily.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and communicates any needs to the Camp Director.
  • Manages transportation schedule, ensuring that all transportation needs (both scheduled and emergency) are met.
  • Helps to organize and provide staff-appreciation events.
  • Responsible for posting updates and announcements around camp.
  • Follow all Quest policies and procedures.
  • Management reserves the right to revise the job or to request that other or different tasks be performed as assigned.
    Education and/or Work Experience
  • 18 years of age or older required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid American/International Driver’s license with clean driving record required.
  • Experience with customer service, office operations, phone etiquette, Microsoft Office and SmugMug online photo database may substitute for education requirement.
Physical Demands Lifting and Carrying:

Frequent lifting and carrying of items, including the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Standing and Walking:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the office and facility.

Bending and Stooping:

Regular bending, stooping, and reaching.

Pushing and Pulling:

Pushing and pulling or maneuvering equipment and supplies.

Manual Dexterity:

Use of hands for tasks such as writing, typing, handling small objects, and operating equipment.

Mental Acuity:

Ability to make quick, rational decisions regarding customer service questions/ concerns.

Emotional Stability:

Capacity to handle emotionally charged or stressful situations calmly and effectively.

Environmental Conditions:

Exposure to various environmental conditions inside and outside the facility, including exposure to extreme heat and wildlife.
