Job Description

CEI Project Administrator Creative Engineering Group Inc Fort Pierce, FL 34945 The CEI Project Administrator/Project Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing and managing transportation construction projects, ensuring compliance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards and project specifications. This position involves coordinating with administrative and field staff, managing progress and final estimates, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires strong communication skills, independent judgment, and the ability to work under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer when necessary. Key Responsibilities Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate with project stakeholders. Receive general instructions regarding assignments and exercise initiative and independent judgment to resolve project-related challenges. Direct and assign specific tasks to administrative and field staff, ensuring efficient execution of project activities. Assist in all phases of the construction project, including planning, execution, and closeout. Prepare and manage progress estimates and final estimates throughout the construction project duration. Ensure compliance with FDOT standards and quality control requirements. Utilize Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Excel) for project documentation, collaboration, and reporting.

Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

For candidates with a degree:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management preferred. A Master’s degree in these fields may substitute for one (1) year of required experience. Licensure (for CEI Project Engineer): Professional Engineer (PE) license registered in the State of Florida required. Candidates registered in another state must obtain Florida endorsement within six (6) months of Project Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Experience:
With Degree:

Minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience in relevant transportation projects (roadway or bridge construction).

Without Degree:

Minimum of eight (8) years of CEI or roadway/bridge construction experience, with at least two (2) years involving relevant transportation projects.

Certifications:

The following certifications must be obtained within six (6) months of hire, with a training plan submitted detailing the timeline for completion. The candidate must work under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer until certifications are obtained: FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification. CTQP Final Estimates Level II Certification. CTQP Quality Control Manager Certification (must attend and pass the examination).

Skills and Abilities :

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in problem-solving. Proficiency in directing and assigning tasks to administrative and field staff. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Excel) for project management and documentation. Ability to manage multiple project phases and ensure timely delivery of estimates and reports.

Additional Requirements:

Valid Florida Driver’s License Candidates must submit a training plan detailing how and when required certifications will be obtained if not already held. Ability to work under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer during the initial certification period. Knowledge of FDOT standards and procedures is highly desirable.

Full-time Pay:

$114,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
