POSITION GOAL

To provide advanced operational services in support of the school or designated district department of Volusia County Schools

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

The principle activities of this position include an assigned combination of the following, as directed under specific school/department
functions (for example, FTE, master schedule, student discipline, payroll, media services), depending on the size of the school or
department and its administrative organization. 1.

  • Operate specialized equipment or computer software on an advanced level.2.
  • Enter, compile and maintain computer files, data, and information in the designated format and submit in report form, including initiation of data/ records as needed.3.
  • Collect, record, analyze, and tabulate computer data and document records, make recommendations or predictions based on
    findings or interpretation in report form as directed, including development of report format as needed.4.
  • Collect, receipt and deposit money as directed, including monitoring reconciliation.5.
  • Coordinate and monitor work activities as directed. Direct resources as authorized.6.
  • Answer and route telephone calls and provide interpretive information as directed.

  • Dispense medication to students according to prescribed policy and procedures, when assigned. 8.
  • Interact with outside suppliers at a limited level of authority, including directly representing the school/department. 9.
  • Determine need and order supplies as assigned. 10.
  • Process request forms at an advanced level of transaction, such as verifying the accuracy of the information, including limited
    approval authority. Determine need to research conflicting data or inaccurate data. 11.
  • Receive and distribute supplies/equipment, including authority to sign for receipt. 12.
  • Reconcile accounts and records, balance books, research and resolve issues and prepare budget statements. 13.
  • Schedule activities/appointments on calendar format as assigned, including administrative appointments. 14.
  • Sort, distribute and open mail, including notifying administration of sensitive or emergent content; answer mail as directed. 15.
  • Receive information, requests and complaints, and bring to resolution as directed. 16. Perform other related duties as assigned by the designated supervisor.
