The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is currently accepting applications for an
ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY
position. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and technical duties in support of activities of the Public Works Director.
Employee is responsible for maintaining files of records, reports, documents, and correspondence pertaining to official actions of the Public Works Department; compiling information for reports; assisting with general operations; performs office management functions; and coordinating special events. Work also involves assisting the general public and preparing a variety of records, reports, documents and correspondence; and performing various administrative tasks to support the department.
This is a 40 hour per week position based out of the Public Works Office.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent
- Supplemented by college-level course work in bookkeeping, accounting, secretarial science or related field, and 1 to 2 years of experience in clerical or secretarial work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License Help for Employer Information.
