AdventHealth Redmond is a 230 bed facility, serving as a regional referral source for all of northwest Georgia and parts of Alabama. AdventHealth Redmond offers a full array of inpatient and outpatient programs, many of which are unique to the northwest Georgia region. As an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, Redmond provides a full-service cardiology product line and is nationally recognized as a top cardiac center. In addition to the Gold Seal of Approval, Redmond has also earned eight disease specific certifications from the Joint Commission for outstanding care in the areas of cardiology, stroke, orthopedic surgery, spinal surgery, and vascular surgery. Other areas of excellence include emergency care, oncology, and inpatient rehabilitation.

Job Summary:

Performs and provides clinical support services such as receiving visitors, maintaining files, and conducting special projects as assigned.
The role you’ll contribute:
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Maintains good relations with patients, medical staff, Diagnostic Imaging peers, other hospital departments and facilities that utilize our services.
Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information to callers.
Establishes and maintains files and records on an ongoing basis and able to retrieve data in a timely manner.
Receives and properly orders Physician Orders into EPIC and maintains Physician Standing Orders.
Assists in routing patient reports to physicians’ offices and other healthcare agencies via mail or fax and nursing care areas.
Understands Clients and related insurance information concerning Admissions Module.
Sorts and distributes incoming mail.
Assists with departmental office supply orders.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Attends 20 hours of educational program time annually.
Maintains mandatory educational requirements (i.e., Annual Updates, BLS, ACLS, etc.).
Contributes to ongoing, departmental based, educational activities.
Demonstrates proficiency in performing job by satisfactorily completing annual competency assessment.
Possesses current technical/functional knowledge in the profession and industry.
Maintains designated work area and equipment in a safe condition in accordance with standards and specifications
Demonstrates proper body mechanics when performing job.
Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment for the job.
Demonstrates knowledge of Infection Control guidelines; Practices Universal Precautions.
Safely manages hazardous materials.
Demonstrates knowledge of disaster plans and safety protocols.
Promotes safety in the work area.
Responds appropriately to codes.
Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct.
Conduct reflects the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct.

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma
General office experience and Medical Terminology
