Full Job Description Overview:
The Front Office Coordinator works as part of a team fulfilling administrative responsibilities while advocating on behalf of patients. Role:
Creates a welcoming environment by greeting patients and visitors Manages patient check-in and check-out processes Scheduling appointments for multiple providers Process insurance verifications (utilizing Waystar and other payer sites as needed). Explain and thoroughly communicates insurance benefits to patients Assess/updates patient demographics and insurance information as needed Handles inquiries regarding patient financial concerns Additional responsibilities assigned as needed
About You:
High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree or higher preferred, especially in a health-related field Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred Two years’ experience in a healthcare front office position required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Maintains a high level of patient confidentiality Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills MS Office computer skills with the ability to type 30+ wpm Ability to adapt to EMR functionality Experience in eClinical Works strongly preferred.
