The idea candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, customer service skills and capable of multi-tasking. The role requires flexible work hours including Saturdays. Essential Duties Performs basic office duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, typing standard documents, preparing, sorting and distributing mail and entering data and running basic or standard reports Provides customer support by answering phones, greeting and assisting walk-in customers, and researching and providing information to the public Processes all paperwork for adoptions, reclaims, owner surrenders, and other shelter related services Maintains paper and electronic logs, forms, files, and other documents, preparing items for storage or destruction, and assisting in maintaining the security and confidentiality of applicable information Processes basic forms by reviewing for proper signature, ensuring fields are completed, verifying standard or basic data, and collecting fees when appropriate Other Job Requirements/Information This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval. Grade The grade for this position is a grade B21 (1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, or
G.E.D. AND
Two years of administrative support or related office experience An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered. Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications Preferred education requirement AND Preferred experience requirement An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
