Administrative Tax Assistant Forrestall CPAs 5328 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford, GA 30518 Position Overview Forrestall CPAs, LLC, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Tax Assistant to join our growing firm. This role is perfect for someone with strong administrative skills, an interest in tax-related work, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting our tax team with client communication, tax filing assistance, and general administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities Tax Filing Assistance:
Support the tax team in preparing and filing tax returns by gathering required documentation and assisting with administrative tasks.
Client Billing:
Prepare and issue client invoices for tax services, ensuring accurate billing codes and rates. Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
Payment Processing:
Handle client payments via phone, in person, or online, maintaining accurate payment records and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Appointment Scheduling:
Manage the tax team’s calendar, schedule client appointments, coordinate meetings, and send reminders to ensure deadlines are met.
Data Entry & Reporting:
Input client data into internal systems, generate reports, and assist with spreadsheet creation.
Administrative Support:
Answer calls, respond to emails, photocopy, scan, and maintain office supplies to support daily operations.
File Management:
Maintain and update client records and tax files in a confidential, organized, and efficient manner. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in an administrative role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Willingness to learn and grow within the firm. Preferred Skills Experience in a CPA firm or accounting office. Familiarity with Thomson Reuters software suite . Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field. Knowledge of tax terminology, forms, and filing requirements. Working Conditions Full-time position with occasional overtime during tax season (January – April). Office-based role with standard working hours, though some flexibility may be required during peak periods.
