Job Summary
The Catalog and Registration Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the university’s academic catalog, ensuring its accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with institutional . This position also provides support for key registrar functions, including student records management, curriculum updates, and compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. The coordinator works closely with faculty, academic departments, and administrative units to maintain up-to-date curriculum and program information while facilitating efficient student enrollment and registration processes.
The Catalog and Registration Services Coordinator plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first-class customer service. The incumbent participates in divisional activities as a member of the Enrollment Management Services Division. Collaborative and team-oriented skills with a commitment to student success is essential attributes for the individual in this position.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the university’s academic catalog, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.
Collaborate with academic departments to review and update course descriptions, degree requirements, and policy statements.
Ensure compliance with university , accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines regarding catalog content and academic recordkeeping.
Coordinate with faculty and administrators to facilitate curriculum changes, including new course proposals, program modifications, and policy revisions.
Serve as a liaison between academic units, the registrar’s office, and IT support to optimize catalog publication and management systems.
Maintain accurate student records and support the integrity of academic data.
Provide guidance to students, faculty, and staff on academic and procedures related to the Catalog and Registration functions.
Support reporting efforts by preparing data summaries and compliance documentation as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
2 Year / Associate Degree
1-2 years of relevant experience (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
Preferred Qualifications
Three years relative experience.
Banner experience
Proficiency in student information systems and catalog management software.
Experience with academic , degree auditing, and compliance reporting.
Familiarity with learning management systems and student information databases.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Skills in organizational and time management with attention to detail
Skills in analysis and problem solving with competence in the use of logic
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to work closely with academic departments, faculty and administrative staff
Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times
Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and administrators
Knowledge of accreditation standards and higher education regulations
