The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing exceptional administrative support. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Familiarity with medical software and office protocols is essential. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Manage patient scheduling, confirming appointments, and handling cancellations. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Process insurance claims and manage billing inquiries. Utilize medical software such as Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft for patient management. Answer phone calls professionally, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls as needed. File and organize patient documents efficiently to ensure easy access. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized office environment. Support medical staff with administrative tasks as required. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in medical software applications (Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices. Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is beneficial but not mandatory. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
