JOB SUMMARY

The Liberty County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant to support Juvenile Court.

MAJOR DUTIES

Assists in all three juvenile courts (DJJ, Dependency, and Family Treatment) where needed by setting up/hosting virtual meetings and operating sound system; notifies all parties involved. Assists with Judicial Citizen Review Panels. Coordinates and manages Comprehensive Services Plan for incompetent juveniles. Manages the Juvenile Judge’s calendar for meetings, court dates, and the Juvenile Judges Conferences. Types, copies, and files various confidential materials, such as notices and schedules. Scans and uploads orders and documents into GACPRS and distributes to agencies and attorneys. Answers telephone calls, processes incoming mail, and responds to complaints, questions, and concerns. Assists with regular and special settings in setting up/hosting virtual meetings. Greets the general public and other visitors. Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

Knowledge of modern office principles and practices. Knowledge of court policies and procedures. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Knowledge of virtual meeting devices and peripheral equipment. Skill in the maintenance of files and records. Skill in dealing with the public. Skill in oral and written communication.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping at a desk or table. The employee occasionally lifts heavy objects. The work is typically performed in an office.

WORK SCHEDULE AND BENEFITS

Normal work hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree in a related course of study preferred. More than one (1) year of related experienced required. Possession of a valid Georgia Class C driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
