Minimum Qualifications Eight years of experience in administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR A bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR An advanced degree plus four years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:

Any level of this series may involve two to twenty administrative functions, such as human resources, purchasing, information technology, inventory, property control, accounting, telecommunications, budget, buildings and grounds, maintenance, duplicating/printing, central records, warehousing, grants/contracts, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, quality assurance and motor pool/fleet management.

THIS POSITION WILL BE FILLED AS A PROBATIONAL

APPOINTMENT or

PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE OF LOUISIANA STATE GOVERNMENT

The selected employee may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.

PROBATIONAL APPOINTMENT

Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment, if selected.

TEMPORARY JOB APPOINTMENT

This position may be filled by temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment. This position is located at Prison Enterprises Headquarters Office. Exams and License Requirements No Civil Service Test Score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
Any degree, certificate, special license, or DD-214 must be verified by official documentation prior to hire.
