FLSA:

Non-Exempt (Hourly) We’re seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Parish Secretary to help keep our church running smoothly. This vital role supports our clergy, parish staff, and broader community through strong communication, organization, and administrative skills. The responsibilities of the Parish Secretary include: Manage daily office tasks (phones, emails, appointments, supplies & equipment). Greet and welcome parishioners and other visitors to the church office. Prepare Sunday bulletins, as well as bulletins for special services such as funerals and weddings. Communicate the monthly lay ministry schedule. Maintain church records using ACS Realm, including in/out parish transfers and updates to all birth, baptism, confirmation, marriage, death, and service attendance records. Support clergy and staff with administrative needs. Coordinate parish events and facility use, including volunteers. Handle sensitive information with discretion and care. The Parish Secretary will also perform other duties as directed by the Rector.. Qualifications & Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher), Google Docs. 10-key data entry accuracy and speed. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Friendly and professional interpersonal style. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Experience with church management softward (e.g., Realm, MSP) a plus.
