We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Intake Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling of assessments for assessors and providing essential support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule assessments for assessors and coordinate client appointments.
- Conduct client eligibility checks for Medicaid and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare and send out intake packets to clients in a timely manner.
- Manage the assessment calendar to optimize scheduling and availability.
- Oversee all new referrals coming into the agency and ensure proper documentation.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and provide information to clients and assessors.
- Attend meetings and contribute to discussions regarding scheduling and client needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and agency operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
