Office Assistant 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 2296 Denley Rd, Houma, LA 70363 Duties/Responsibilities The office assistant will: Perform clerical duties, including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms. Operate office machines, including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment. Serve as the receptionist for the office, greeting visitors and applicants. Copy, sort, and file records related to office activities, business transactions, business transactions and other matters. Prepare letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions. Sort incoming mail and deliver to appropriate individual; process outgoing mail. Maintain filing systems, either manually or electronically. Manage calendars and schedule appointments. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software US work authorization Education and Experience High-school diploma or equivalent (required) Clerical experience (preferred) Physical Requirements The office assistant must be able to: Sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
