Full Job Description The Role:
Meadow Brook School is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and friendly individual to join our team as an Early Childhood School Secretary. This role supports the daily operations of our school and serves as a welcoming presence for families, students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities Include:
Handle sensitive information with confidentiality, including maintaining student cumulative files, correspondence, data entry, and filing systems Maintain student records, including daily attendance and other data entry in PowerSchool Monitor the schools video surveillance system Manage interoffice and postal mail; answer and route phone calls professionally Operate the schools intercom system and make announcements as needed Greet and assist all visitors, ensuring a warm and professional reception Support communication efforts including School Messenger updates Maintain the school activity calendar Handle daily lunch counts and reporting Collaborate with the bus company to maintain accurate student bus assignments and routes Assist with school year secretary duties and other clerical needs as directed
Qualifications:
Experience with PowerSchool, Munis, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Professional, courteous, and proactive demeanor This is a full-time, calendar-year position offering the opportunity to be part of a school community focused on early childhood education.
