$46.9K – $59.3K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Filing Mid-level 3 years Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Associate’s degree Full Job Description Primary PurposeUnder the direct supervision of the high school principal the administrative assistant will provide support to the school office.
Administrative DutiesEnsures bell system is adjusted, when necessaryOrders/organizes supplies for office and/or school buildingsServes as backup for preparing and distributes the morning report, including daily attendance and announcementsMaintains student records and attendance as neededCompiles files and reports as neededPerforms any accounting task pertinent to school/office operations.
Including but not limited to:
creating POs, placing orders, submitting invoices to Accounts PayableCompletes school mailings, issuing of report cards, schedules and any other task related to staff and/or student communicationsAssists in organizing all school-wide eventsUses the School Brains platform to maintain student attendance, scheduling, personal information, caregiver contact information, and report card proofing, printing, and disseminationAssists with organizing and implementing standardized assessments such as:
MCAS, MAP, ACCESS, AP
Exams, etc.
Uses the PA system when appropriate and makes morning announcements, when neededOrganizational SkillsMaintains schedules and makes arrangements for meetings, conferences, and interviewsSorts and distributes interoffice and other mail as neededMaintains standard office records for the school as necessaryEnsures orderly and efficient office operations and ensures workspaces are properly maintained in office space as neededOrganizes and schedules student evaluations and assigns staff as needed and directedDemonstrates a solid understanding of Google services as well as other technology-related skills and platforms appropriate to department needsMaintains proper filing systemPerforms other reasonable duties as required by Supervisor(sCommunication Abilities and Cultural CompetencyShows respect and appreciation for the feelings and opinions of others, demonstrates consideration for individual and cultural diversity as well as cultural competencyTranslates emails or notices for families as needed via self, interpreter or school-issued translation deviceRespond appropriately to challenges/changes or new situationsAbility to communicate and facilitate needs with administration between departmentsReceives and responds to daily emails, phone calls, and voice messagesQualification ProfileAny combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: High School Diploma (minimum)Associates Degree or higher preferredSuccessful experience as Administrative Support, a minimum of three years.
