Job Description
Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualifiedmunity health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” providesprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. We are currently seeking a motivated, Full Time Dental Outreach Coordinator (38 hours per week) that enjoys working with culturally diverse children and families in providingprehensive patient care.
Dental Outreach Coordinator Summary
s to and under the direct supervision of the Chief Dental Officer; the Dental Outreach Coordinator works closely with the Dental Department Manager, Dental Assistant Supervisor, and Dental Outreach Assistants. The Dental Outreach Coordinator works directly with the schools andmunity partners to streamline the parental consent and referral process to HealthFirst for dental treatment of children, provides dental assisting in the schools and manages dental grant activities. This position is responsible for the promotion and awareness of access to HealthFirst dental programs for children in order to aid in the fulfillment of theanization’s goals and mission and to contribute to the overall purpose and objective of HealthFirst Family Care Center.
Schedule
8:00 am – 6:00 pm four days a week Rotating Saturdays 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Required Qualifications
1.An associate degree in the human services field with dental assistant experience, preferred or a High School Diploma/GED with a dental assistant certification from an accredited program is required and 2-3 years’ experience in public health is preferred.
2.Massachusetts Dental Assistant license required.
3.Previous experience inmunity health or a dental office background preferred.
4.Ability to deliver excellent customer service including strong follow up and follow through skills
5.Bi/Tri-lingual preferred.
6.Familiarity with Fall River public school systems.
7.Experience working with parents and families in an underservedmunity.
8.Must submit CORI and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.
9.Kledge and ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner in strict adnce with HIPAApliance guidelines.
10.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Goodputer skills.
11.Experience with Dentrix a plus.
