Computer literacy, Record Review and Management, Phone Triage Job Description Job Description Candidate selected for this role will monitor 2 group emails that receive records and reports from healthcare facilities, law enforcement agencies, EMS agencies, and fire departments. Records and reports received will be reviewed for accuracy, completeness and printed and/or attached to the appropriate case file. Requests will be sent to appropriate facilities or agencies at the request of Investigation unit staff as needed via e-mail or fax. OCME Case management tracking system and staff involved (medical examiners and medicolegal investigators) will be updated appropriately when records or reports have been received. Records/reports received via mail will be scanned in order to be electronically added to the case file. Duplicate or unnecessary documents will be shredded upon request of Investigation unit staff or supervisors. Phone calls may be answered in order to triage and transfer to appropriate staff within the agency. Requests for information from funeral home staff received via email will be responded to with appropriate information. Provide administrative support to the Investigation Unit and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AT HIRE

(List knowledge, skills, abilities) Computer literacy Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook(email) Experience speaking on the phone with customers Experience with multifunction printing/scanning/fax devices Experience triaging, transferring or answering multiple phone calls on a multiline phone Experience filing documents Ability to handle confidential or highly sensitive material or information Ability to handle seeing images of, hearing, or speaking about death or people dying. Ability to work with others and take direction from multiple staff members or supervisors. Ability to work independently and report completion of work to supervisor staff Candidate must be COVID vaccinated and have received up to date boosters.
