Seeking a qualified individual to join Portland Public Healths dynamicclinical services team as an administrative assistant. This projectposition provides administrative support for the clinical services at 39Forest Avenue serving members of vulnerable and diverse populations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in computerskills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), spreadsheetsand software, have the ability to prepare reports as well as the abilityto independently arrange for professional meetings, schedule patients,and make reminder calls. This role will work in a team setting providingsupport for several programs while prioritizing division-wide needs sothe ability to be organized and effectively communicate will benecessary.

  • Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  • Greeting and checking in patients.

Scheduling appointments.

Report preparation.

Answering telephones.

Problem solving.

  • Required Experience:
  • Thorough knowledge of administrative practices and proceduresExcellent customer service skillsMust possess good communication and attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills.

Thorough knowledge of modern office equipment practices and procedures.

  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience as an administrative assistant in a fast paced setting isdesired, clinical setting preferredExperience working with a diverse population.

Experience with multi-line phone system.

Knowledge of Excel and other computer software utilized by individualdepartments.
