1.Assists the Director of School Nutrition by performing administrative duties as assigned by the Director2.The Assistant will function as a liaison between the School Food Service Managers and the
DirectorQualifications:
High School Diploma or EquivalentMaine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) or ability to attainStrong computer skills – G-Suite (mail, docs, sheets, forms), database software and internet proficiencyExcellent interpersonal skills able to communicate effectively with all levels within and outside the organizationHighest level of confidentiality is a mustExcellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and special projectsSelf-directed, able to maintain productivity with minimal supervision
Skills/Abilities:
Basic math, reading and communication skillsAbility to work as a productive member of a teamAbility to safely use all necessary kitchen equipmentAbility to learn and follow all federal, state and local rules/regulations in relation to the
School Nutrition ProgramPerformance Responsibilities:
Assist the School Nutrition team with all aspects of the programCommunicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff, and communityProject a positive image of the RSU 57 School Nutrition Program at all timesManage and organize appointment calendar, schedule meetings and interviewsHandle internal and external correspondence, including but not limited to phone, postal mail, and emailParticipate in workshops, food shows, trainings, and meetingsPrepare meeting agendas and take meeting notesMaintain accurate information in the point of sale softwareVerify receipt of orders and process paperwork for proper paymentResponsible for maintaining record keeping of program expenditures and revenuesCreate and maintain departments filing systemsProcess free & reduced meal applications while maintaining a high level of confidentialityPrepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and yearly reports as directedAssist with weekly ordering of food and other suppliesProvide assistance to the director for special projects within the programMaintain the School Nutrition Office in the absence of the DirectorPerform other duties as assigned by the

Terms of Employment:
Hourly, work year and working conditions to be established by the RSU 57 School Board.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the School Boards policy on evaluation.
