Job Description

Part-time Nursing Secretary (PN) in Sikeston 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Sikeston, MO 63801 Performs clerical support services for the department faculty, such as preparing correspondence and receiving and handling all incoming calls, visitors, mail services, as well as maintaining the filing system and ordering supplies. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Maintains office practices and procedures; operates standard office equipment and ensures proficiency in all operations. Maintains orderly files of a wide variety of documentation in both paper and electronic forms, including student records. Assists students as needed as well as copies and collects documents as requested. Receives and appropriately distributes incoming mail for the division faculty and staff. Collaborates between locations to create shared calendar access to view and assign department deadlines and task due dates. Performs routine research and prepares reports and meeting minutes; proofs materials for approval and distributes as appropriate. Coordinates routine purchases of office supplies for the department. Manages the flow of incoming and outgoing phone calls. Maintains a department calendar to assist supervisor and faculty with appointments, meetings, and college schedules. Provides curriculum/program support for nursing programs and faculty; processes the applications, registrations. Assists the faculty with course material preparations as requested. High school diploma or GED required; associate degree is preferred. Minimum of two years of experience or equivalent required. Not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.
