Position Summary Information
Responsibilities Manage all administrative aspects of central DMI office, including departmental record keeping, payroll, incoming/outgoing communications, liaison with DMI faculty/staff/students.
Maintain and balance departmental budgets, Foundation accounts, and grant budgets.
Administrate external affairs related to events held at the DMI, such as summer camp, and recruiting.
Supervise student employees.
Coordinate participation in charitable contribution campaigns.
Provide on-site tours for students, donors, and partners.
Provide assistance to the DMI Director regarding logistics related to the work of the department.
Attend meetings as needed and record details of meetings for dissemination.
Qualifications High School diploma.
Proficient in general accounting practices and use of Excel spreadsheets.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office 365 applications.
Proficient in the use of Adobe applications such as Acrobat.
Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changes on short notice.
Willingness to learn new procedures.
Salary Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
Minimum Qualifications High School diploma
Preferred Qualifications Associate degree and/or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in music business or entertainment industry studies.
Proficient in DSU’s administrative platforms such as Banner and Argos.
Proficient in general accounting practices and use of Excel spreadsheets.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office 365 applications.
Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat.
Graphic arts skills in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changes on short notice.
Willingness to learn new procedures.
