Proposed Annual Salary, Hourly Rate or One-time payment Essential Duties Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
Answers telephone calls and routes calls to appropriate individuals.
Greets visitors, assesses needs and routes them to the appropriate counselor.
Maintains social media updates for Facebook and Twitter.
Prepares and make copies of all required office correspondence and meeting minutes.
Assists with scholarship awarding as needed.
Completes special reports, projects, and assignments as requested.
Tracks all student application documents to ensure that all required documents are received in a timely manner.
Generates necessary correspondence to student applicants with outstanding required documents.
Assists in reviewing student applicant’s files that are selected for verification.
E-mails and/or prints award and tracking letters for all student applicants, including new scholarship letters.
Provides basic information to students and parents concerning their financial aid questions and awards.
Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid. Minimum Qualifications Some college coursework preferred
Customer service and/or administrative experience
Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently
Knowledge of Financial Aid systems and Banner experience a plus
Working knowledge of computer application techniques such as word-processing, spreadsheets and databases
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products Job Description Summary Operates the Banner software, assists students, processes incoming and outgoing mail, answers telephones, assists in verifying data, assists in posting scholarships, answers emails, and provides clerical and accounting services for the Financial Aid Office. Hours of Availability 19 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
