Job Description

The personal administrative provides support to the Title III PBI Director through conducting and organizing administrative duties and activities including creating, maintaining, storing, receiving and handling information. Incumbents should be flexible and capable of working under pressure. This position reports to the Title III PBI Project Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the PBI Grant Director including correspondences, typing, information research, filing and taking telephone messages. Drafts memos/letters as appropriate.
  • Perform word processing activities; format, revise and print out final copies of complex documents
  • Assists Project Director with organizing and assembling proposals, reports, plans of operation, working budgets and other documents
  • Maintain the PBI Grant Director’s calendar by organizing and coordinating appointments
  • Provides office coverage, providing accurate information, utilizing key communication skills in relating to a diverse student population
  • Assists in hosting individuals, groups or certain campus events pertaining to the PBI Director’s office.
Hours:

Monday — Thursday 8:00-4:30; Friday 8:00-3:00 with a 30-minute lunch

Qualifications & Experience:
Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years’ experience as an administrative assistant or five (5) years in a related professional office staff position.

Required:

Associate’s degree and three (3) years’ experience as an administrative assistant or three (3) years in a related professional office staff position.
