About the Agency
The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services has a position available within the Division of Human Resources Core Processing, located at the State Office. The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (MDCPS) is committed to protecting and nurturing Mississippi’s at-risk children and families. MDCPS offers a variety of positions statewide, including social work positions providing case management services and working with potential foster families, supervisor positions providing clinical and administrative support, and agency support positions such as policy development, human resources, information technology, program management, training, and budgeting/finance. About the Position
The individual selected for this position will proof documents for quality and accuracy; prepare requisitions and order supplies; draft and type correspondence, agendas and forms; organize and maintain files; respond to incoming calls; receive and distribute mail; assist with the planning and implementation of special projects; prepare and organize meetings and scheduled events; communicate with various individuals and entities; compile data for required reports; maintain confidentiality; and perform related or similar duties as required or assigned.
What you’ll need to be Successful
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software, demonstrate integrity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to adapt quickly, courteous, ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience. •
Agency Preferred Qualifications:
MUST Be able to work in Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, and Smartsheets.
