Job Description

TheElection Specialistis responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and supporting poll workers for early voting and Election Day. This role manages poll worker communications, onboarding, and payroll processing, ensuring each voting site is properly staffed and compliant with all requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating poll worker recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Creating and managing poll worker schedules for early voting and Election Day
  • Processing payroll and serving as the main contact for pay-related questions
  • Maintaining up-to-date poll worker databases and training resources
  • Ensuring proper staffing, role assignment, and communication with poll workers and site coordinators## Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Associate degree with at least two years of administrative work; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirements

  • Must obtain NC Notary Public within 6 months of employment
  • Must be certified or obtain certification as a North Carolina Elections Administrator from the State Board of Elections within three years of employment.

## Physical RequirementsTasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
