Job Description

Job Summary:

To maintain all interoffice functions, data management, resource coordinating, and coordination of special events/functions accurately. Updates and maintains all databases for EVS/Laundry and Director. Produces reports and assists in the design of forms/databases. Updates EVS policies/guides and maintains the database. Maintains the documentation for The Joint Commission (TJC), The Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Environment of Care (EOC) for EVS/Laundry. Must have extensive knowledge of the Payroll system (Kronos). Provides training for other staff. Creates graphs and excel summaries of payroll variances, tardies, absences and missed punches. Maintains, retrieves, and disseminates minutes for multiple hospital committees and Facility Services. Maintains current position control and HR data for Facility Services. Assists in the design of forms, reports and screens. Monitors availability and coordinates resources (supplies, equipment) to support EVS and Laundry. Works with Operations Managers and Director to develop, implement and monitor action plans as needed for improved compliance. Provide continuing support to users to help resolve problems on a day to day basis. Advise Operations Managers and Director of progress of work and any unusual problems that may occur.

Qualifications:

High school diploma plus 3 to 4 years work experience required; Associate’s degree preferred. Requires 1 to 2 years of data management experience. Requires knowledge and proficiency of computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and form design. Considerable skill in dealing tactfully with patients, visitors, nursing staff, physicians, and hospital employees. Effective oral and written communication skills. Good judgment skills.
