Job Description

Service and Install Coordinator The Perkinson company Charlotte, NC 28216 We are a manufacturer’s representative located just one mile off I85 in Charlotte, NC. We have been in business over 50 years providing our customers in North and South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee with valve automation solutions. We are looking for a responsible candidate to perform a variety of scheduling and administrative tasks. Duties will include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office and warehouse needs and managing our company’s service/install schedule. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like, MS Office suites, Sage 50, or QuickBooks. They will also have some experience/knowledge with mechanical and electrical equipment to be able to assist with in house repairs and field work when needed. This position will require time in a shop and warehouse for organization, inventory and shipping/handling. It also requires the ability to operate a forklift. Some travel may also be necessary; company vehicle is provided. Responsibilities Maintain a accurate schedule for service and installs Process completed work from technicians Assist with in house repairs as well as occasional field work Ensure invoice accuracy Monthly inventory of supplies, parts and equipment Answer and direct phone calls Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports Develop and maintain a filing system Update and maintain accounts Maintain contact lists Skills Proven experience as a scheduler or office admin assistant Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Access, in particular), as well as accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Attention to detail and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
