Acting Early Childhood Program Administrator Confidential Rocky Mount, NC 27804 Your Mission—Stabilize, Assess, and Accelerate While we conduct a search for a new permanent director, we need an interim leader who can: Evaluate current curriculum, operations, and culture—delivering a 60-day “state-of-the-school” report with quick-win recommendations. Maintain licensing, staffing stability, and family satisfaction so the program’s excellence never wavers. Build on existing success—piloting small improvements (e.g., STEAM corners, outdoor learning tweaks) that set the table for the next decade. Outstanding performance in the interim role will position you as a top candidate for the permanent post. Priority Responsibilities (contract focus) Continuity & Compliance – Safeguard our Five-Star license and all

standards. Rapid Program Audit – In your first 30-60 days, review curriculum fidelity (The Creative Curriculum®), assessment tools, budget health, and staffing ratios; present findings to the Rector and Vestry. Staff Coaching & Morale – Offer weekly reflective-practice sessions; fill open positions; ensure smooth schedules and coverage. Family & Community Communications – Keep parents, church leadership, and partners informed of interim goals and progress. Succession Prep – Draft a 6-month action plan and knowledge-transfer binder for the incoming permanent director. Ideal Profile NC Early Childhood Admin Credential—Level III (required). 3+ yrs center leadership; proven experience guiding programs through transition or accreditation. Strength in rapid assessment, change management, and stakeholder communication. Bachelor’s or higher in ECE, Child Development, or related field preferred. Compensation Package (pro-rated for contract term) Base pay: $50K-55K annualized, paid bi-weekly for contract duration ​ Project-completion bonus: Up to 5% of contract value for hitting audit & stability milestones Tuition benefit: Free tuition for one child during contract (seat permitting) ​ Health coverage: 75 % employer-paid medical/dental/vision (or QSEHRA stipend) PD & transition support: $500 stipend plus paid time to attend NCaeyc fall conference
