Administrative Technician 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 1224 Onslow Pines Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540 JOB Performs difficult clerical work providing a variety of office assistance services to Emergency Services; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision of the Deputy Director of Emergency Services.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provides general clerical, typing, copying and filing services; answering telephone calls; assisting the public and supervisor; maintaining records and files; preparing reports. Types correspondence, memoranda, reports and other materials from rough draft, copy, notes or verbal instruction.
Checks and reviews a variety of data for accuracy, completeness and conformance to established standards.
Greets visitors and/or applicants and responds to a variety of questions and requests; refers to proper personnel.
Collects and prepares data for records and reports; prepares routine reports.
Issues various licenses and permits, notary applications, etc.
Composes routine correspondence.
Posts and makes entries in account books and other records.
Makes arithmetical calculations; types purchase orders.
Maintains official County records, records County documents ensuring all documents have been completed with necessary signatures and pertinent information.
Performs specialized department tasks and duties as assigned.
Duplicates a variety of documents and materials for use by staff.
Operates standard office, word processing and data entry equipment.
Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member.
Performs related tasks as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and considerable experience in office assistance work.
Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, internal equity, budget, and market considerations.
