SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with some flexible scheduling until 5pm or occasional Saturday coverage, not to exceed 40 hours/week
JOB POSTING
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support for our Outpatient Treatment Services (OTS) team. This role involves assisting OTS staff with daily operations, maintaining knowledge of all OTS programs, and ensuring smooth and efficient office procedures. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of the program and related functions, as well as be knowledgeable of OSHA rules and regulations regarding bloodborne pathogens, given the potential exposure to body fluids in the work environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate (with some business courses a plus). Two (2) years secretarial or clerical experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in third party medical billing. Ability to work a flexible schedule
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
General knowledge of office practice and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Ability to operate any office machines required by the position such as computer and printer, typewriter, calculator and other equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Windows XP and/or 2000, MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to arrange and place records, reports and files into proper sequence. Ability to gather and give basic information and instructions on agency programs and services based on inquiries. Willingness to work with clients who have special needs and interact with them professionally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Working knowledge and ability to use correct grammar, vocabulary and spelling. Working knowledge of arithmetic and its uses in general office work. Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of stooping, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform sedentary work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must possess the visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer and do extensive reading.
