Description of Work
Reporting directly to the Warden, this position will administer and manage the complete business and personnel functions in a state prison facility. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Managing and supervising budgets, accounting, personnel, canteen, clothes house, mailroom, fixed assets, and trust fund. Directly supervising all positions in the administrative area and administrative/technical direction over other managers in the utilization of services. Approving of expenditures to include purchasing of supplies and equipment, inventories, establishing and monitoring of personnel service contracts, fiscal audit functions, personnel functions, and consulting with management on the development of facility renovations and maintenance priorities.
Working assignments that are more strategic in nature and are carried out with a significant level of independence. Interacting with higher level administrators, other positions within the agency, and personnel in other state agencies as required to ensure services are successful. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. This is an anticipated vacancy. This position is expected to be available on May 01, 2025

This department includes State Prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as the division of Community Supervision. Other divisions include Administration, Compliance & Accreditation, Comprehensive Health Services, Internal Affairs & Intelligence Operations, Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission, and Rehabilitation & Reentry.
