INTERNAL

POSTING-Only temporary or permanent NCDOT employees or layoff candidates with the NC Department of Transportation eligible for RIF priority reemployment consideration as described by GS 126 May Apply” The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative and technical assistance to the Division Project Development unit. This position supports the unit by gathering, analyzing, editing and reporting information for the various functions and responsibilities assigned to the unit. The position collects and edits confidential reports, proposals, and consultant submittals and is responsible for the payment and tracking of all invoices in coordination with Project Managers. The position will also monitor fund, contract and purchase order balances to prevent overdrafts. The position will receive inquiries from citizens and other external customers and coordinate with Project Managers to provide timely responses. The position will assist with personnel tasks, such as attending HR trainings, onboarding and SAP role requests. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following: Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Access, Word, and Excel Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
