Depending on the assignment, this position may entail registrar responsibilities and/or administrative support to building leadership, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and independent judgment in completing tasks.
ESSENSTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the schools registrar, maintaining accurate student enrollment, transfer, and withdrawal records.
Ensure accurate data entry into student information systems and generate reports as needed. ??Support building administrators with scheduling, document preparation, and project coordination. Prepare, maintain, and file confidential student and personnel records.
Coordinate student registration and orientation processes.
Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and District Office regarding student records and reporting.
Assist in the preparation of reports required by the State and District.
Assist in preparing materials and updating calendars/websites for school events or communications.
Provide coverage for front office duties when necessary.
Train and support other clerical staff as directed.
Perform other such tasks and assume responsibilities as assigned by the Administrator from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or additional training preferred.
Experience in a school office or administrative support role required.
Strong knowledge of student information systems and data management (e.g., PowerSchool).Excellent communication, organizational, and technology skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of business English and modern office and secretarial practices and procedures. Requires an understanding of district wide, departmental and of applicable Board polices affecting departmental operations.
Ability and skill in the proficient operation of desktop computer systems, phones and common office equipment.
Ability to take and transcribe oral dictation.
Ability to communicate effectively.
