The ideal candidate will possess the intellectual curiosity to understand the practice and anticipate support needs. Must have excellent organization skills, technology savvy, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects concurrently.
Job Duties:
Maintain multiple attorney calendars. Determine litigation deadlines and docket the same on multiple calendars. Assist in drafting of Federal intellectual property complaints and various other petitions/pleadings (in Circuit Court, Superior Court and Supreme Court). Perform electronic filing/docketing (adhering to the specific Court/Judges/Local Rules) in multiple Districts of the USDC. Perform electronic filing/docketing in the District, Superior and Supreme Courts for various States (primarily NH and MA). Proofread and edit (redline) various types of pleadings/petitions/correspondence. Assist in the drafting and filing of online Applications and various other filings to
USPTO/TTAB.

deadlines and office actions. Compile, send out and determine deadlines, etc.
and docket the same re:
service of process requirements (for all Courts/jurisdictions). Assist in drafting pleadings, etc. in (District level) Criminal matters (DUI, possession, Annulments, Domestic Assault). Assist in drafting and (conventional and electronic) filing Guardianship/Trust/Probate matters before the District and Superior Courts. Perform clerical duties such as drafting correspondence, updating/closing files, filing, photocopying, faxing, sorting daily mail and packages, scanning, ordering stenographers, ordering caterers, booking conference rooms, etc. Organize voluminous litigation documentation, electronic files and document productions, including Bates-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of document productions. Compile and Organize deposition and trial exhibits. Coordinate trial set-up and logistics, including facility with software programs such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, PowerPoint, TrialPad and Trial Director. Assist with drafting, preparation and conventional and electronic filing of pleadings, motions, objections, appellate briefs, etc., including organizing exhibits and appendices (both in conventional paper form and electronic format). Act as liaison among various practice areas as well as with outside agencies such as litigation funding and litigation e-discovery assistance firms. Attend Firm sponsored training(s) to maintain required skill level and knowledge of software applications and other skills as requested/required. Provide backup support for other Administrative Assistants in various practice groups and Receptionist. Assist and file (through PUC online e-filing system) corporate financing pleadings, etc. Docket PUC electronic filing deadlines re: technical sessions, discovery demands and Hearings.
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of litigation experience or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification. Advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Federal e-filing system (PACER) and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Experience with document intensive cases or matters, e-discovery and strong proficiency working with databases. Ability to work independently, prioritize, multitask and work under pressure. High level of professionalism, dependability, initiative and adaptability, and attention to detail.
