Position Overview:
Under close supervision, this position performs routine and repetitive clerical tasks related to document processing across various departmental functions. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to Middle Township residents by responding to inquiries via phone, email, or in person regarding Public Works Department services.
- Answer calls, take and relay messages, and handle general correspondence.
- Perform filing, prepare and process requisitions, and manage document collection.
- Schedule and coordinate vehicle registrations with the Division of Motor Vehicles.
- Offer administrative support to the Public Works Superintendent and departmental staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Edmunds software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience in municipal government or a similar public service environment
- Any and all training and certifications necessary in the field will be obtained upon acceptance of the position.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-3:30 pm
