JOB SUMMARY
The clerical coordinator provides essential administrative and clerical support to the hospital pharmacy team. This role is responsible for managing various administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and serving as a liaison between the pharmacy and other hospital departments. The Administrative Assistant ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the pharmacy by handling a variety of duties in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Registration in New Jersey as a Pharmacy Technician, within 6 months of hire
Preferred:
Hospital Pharmacy experience Administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy setting Certifications and Licenses Required Registration in New Jersey as a Pharmacy Technician, within 6 months of hire
Scheduling Requirements:
Days, 37.5 5 hours/week
Full-Time Schedule Essential Functions:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite which includes Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and creating Zoom meetings Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks Responsible for pharmacy billing and reports through EPIC and Pyxis daily and monthly Coordinating interviews with potential employees and residents Assisting in technician tasks including outdating medications, labeling, filling medications during staff shortages Maintaining pharmacy supplies through Staples Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service oriented approach Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is a plus Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
