Personal Injury Legal Assistant / Paralegal – TEMP – 6 MONTHS Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins, PC West New York, NJ 07093 Legal Assistant with 2+ years’ experience in plaintiff personal injury law, New Jersey Superior Court pleadings including complaints, motions, depositions, interrogatories, notices to produce, subpoenas, briefs, obtaining medical records and trial preparation. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Court Documents and E-Courts. High volume practice. Ability to work directly with clients, medical providers and other law offices. Experience with TrialWorks, Needles, NEOS or other case management software a plus. Spanish-speaking required.

NOTE:

High probability of conversion to FT/Permanent after 6 months, based on performance. This 6 months’ placement offers full benefits.

Responsibilities :

Client Intake Calls and initial file set up Manage litigation calendar and office calendar Request medical records from health care providers Review and assist in the evaluation of medical records Draft correspondence File Pleadings with E-Courts Coordinate scheduling of depositions Assist with post-judgment matters

Qualifications :

2+ Years’ experience Previous experience in personal injury firm Associate’s degree and/or significant work experience in the area of personal injury Ability to prioritize and multitask Excellent written and verbal communication skills Deadline and detail-oriented

Job Types:

Full-time, Temporary Pay:

$32.00 – $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week
