Mercer County, NJ Job Details Full-time $22 – $24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Addiction counseling Customer service Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Major function of the Social Service Coordinator position is to provide resources and coordinate, including intake, and referral services to all residents needing such services. The coordinator will also plan and implement activities for the tenants we serve and connect residents with service providers.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE
Maintaining up-to-date tenant profiles, tenant interest forms and community resource files. Develop new program ideas based upon the data contained in them. Working with community leaders to create and maintain a working rapport in order to develop new programs geared to the elderly throughout the community. Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating group and individual life activities. Solicit on-site delivery of volunteer and other free services for residents, including, but not limited to, visiting homemakers, legal aid, senior companions, meals-on-wheels, etc. Identify potential leaders or persons with special skills and solicit their participation in or initiation of various activities. Communicate with the families of tenants when appropriate to solicit support for both the tenants and the welfare of the community. Provide a referral service for various off-site social services and health care agencies. Observe the physical and mental status of residents on a continual basis. Maintain effective working relationships with Cathedral Square team members and the public. Serve as liaison with local and county Offices on Aging. Works in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors, MIMC and the
HUD MFSC
grant.
