The Senior Services Coordinator Intern is responsible for coordinating the social services needs of the elderly resident population at the Mount Kemble Home. The Mt. Kemble Home is a Single Room Occupancy (SRO), independent living facility managed by Homeless Solutions, Inc. Effective service provision is encouraged through cooperation within the management team to enhance the residents’ ability to live independently and safely in their community. The Senior Services Coordinator Intern role is a part-time position and is directly supervised by the Housing Retention Division Manager. Offered at $16/hr rate of pay. The Senior Services Coordinator Intern will be responsible for: Provide Case Management, crisis intervention, supportive counseling and service referrals for senior women in the Mt.

Kemble Home through:

Establishing good communication, trust and relationships with residents to enable serving as a liaison between residents and management. Enhancing the quality of life within the home through promoting a positive sense of community among resident population. Providing as needed supportive counseling and advocacy for residents. Coordination of appropriate on-site educational and wellness programs. Creation of communication flyers, automated calling, home visits, calendar of events, etc. to inform residents of meetings, programs, and special events. Assisting residents with preparedness for their annual re-certifications when needed. Hosting quarterly meetings with residents. Providing support and referrals to local, state, and federal agencies and service providers. Maintaining documentation of interventions, services, and communication in a confidential manner.
