As a Service Coordinator, you will act as the central point of contact for clients, team members, and service providers. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and oversee the delivery of services to ensure they are timely, efficient, and meet the highest standards of quality.

Efficient Allocation of Technicians:

This is paramount for an electrical contractor. A service coordinator excels at matching the right technician to the right job based on skills, location, and availability, minimizing travel time and maximizing productivity. o

Dynamic Scheduling:

They can quickly adjust schedules for emergency calls, unexpected delays, or last-minute changes, keeping your operations nimble. o

Route Optimization:

Potentially using software to plan the most efficient routes for your technicians, saving on fuel and time. 2.

Enhanced Customer Service:

Primary Point of Contact:

They serve as the main liaison between your customers and your technicians, handling incoming service requests (phone, email), answering inquiries, and providing updates on job status. o

Proactive Communication:

Keeping customers informed about arrival times, delays, and completion status, which greatly improves satisfaction. o

Complaint Resolution:

Addressing and resolving customer concerns related to scheduling, service delivery, or follow-up. 3.

Streamlined Workflow and Communication:

Work Order Management:

Creating, tracking, and updating work orders from start to finish, ensuring all necessary information is captured and available. o

Technician Support:

Providing technical support and guidance to field technicians as needed, relaying important job details, or even helping troubleshoot remotely. o

Internal Coordination:

Facilitating seamless communication between technicians, sales, and management to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding project status and customer needs. 4.

Improved Efficiency and Documentation:

Accurate Record Keeping:

Maintaining detailed records of service requests, completed tasks, customer interactions, and technician timecards. o

Permit and Inspection Coordination:

Obtaining necessary permits for jobs and coordinating inspections, preventing delays. o Material and Inventory Management (basic): Assisting with tracking parts needed for jobs, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring technicians have necessary materials. o

Reporting:

Generating reports on service metrics, technician performance, and job profitability to help you make informed business decisions. 5. Support for

    At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a service coordination, administrative, or client-facing role.
