Responsibilities:

Secure Destruction:
to ensure paper charts are prepared to be destroyed in proper shredding bins. +
Compliance:
Adhering to relevant regulations and standards, such as HIPAA for healthcare records to ensure secure handling and destruction of sensitive information. +
Logging and Tracking:
Maintaining accurate records of the destruction process, including destruction logs. +
Safety:
Following all safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment. +
Supervision:
Potentially supervising or assisting with the overall destruction process, from pickup to final disposal.
Qualifications:

Understanding of Confidentiality:
Awareness of the importance of protecting sensitive information and adhering to privacy regulations. +
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift and move materials, potentially including heavy boxes of documents. + Attention to
Detail:
Ensuring accuracy in sorting, destruction, and record-keeping processes. +
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and potentially clients. +
Knowledge of Regulations:
Familiarity with relevant regulations and policies regarding data destruction.
