Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Staff Development. Coordinate and schedule staff education sessions, orientations, in-services, and meetings. Maintain accurate training and certification records for all hospital employees. Track deadlines and expiration dates for staff competencies, licenses, and required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS). Coordinate the onboarding and placement of students who are shadowing or precepting within the hospital and ancillary clinics. Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and data analysis related to staff education. Liaise with department managers, HR, and external educators to ensure smooth coordination of learning activities. Assist with the management of the calendar for the Director of Staff Development, scheduling appointments and meetings as needed. Monitor inventory and order educational supplies and materials. Support special projects and initiatives related to hospital staff development. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information. Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries via email and phone, providing accurate information or directing concerns to the appropriate department or individual as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred. Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data management systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Familiarity with hospital training programs, staff development practices, and compliance standards is a plus.
