This candidate will support senior staff and lay leadership with special emphasis on youth and early childhood education and programs, internal and external communications, marketing, development and event support. Logistics, venue and vendor bookings, staffing, preparing materials, purchasing, production, distribution, set up and clean up for BE.WISE, youth and Keshet programs. Set up and support registration process for schools, programs and events Attendance and staffing of programs as necessary. Ensure that facility is set up for events and classes. Make sure classrooms are stocked as requested by staff. Answer office phones, direct calls appropriately, and monitor door as necessary. Oversee the set up and use of technology as needed. Create and distribute email communications, including, but not limited to, weekly e-newsletters to parents and congregants. Maintain and establish appropriate distribution lists and class lists. Primary responsibility includes updating and maintaining website and social media platforms, coordinating with staff and volunteers to obtain information needed and consulting with web designers. Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter required, knowledge of WordPress a plus. Maintaining Temple Beth El brand integrity in all communications. Supporting and coordinating production of bi-annual, printed synagogue bulletin Kol, including creating content, collecting and editing content produced by others, and working with designated graphic designers to meet production deadlines. Supporting creation and production of the annual TBE calendar. Create and distribute materials to be used in marketing various aspects of synagogue life, including programs and events, membership recruitment, building rentals and fundraising. Provide support for paid advertising for the Kol, TBE lobby screen and annual calendar. Provide support for development work and fundraising campaigns. Start and administer Zoom meetings and services as necessary. Other duties as assigned, including support at events and programs. This is a non-exempt, hourly, on-site position. Preferred regular hours are 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Some flexibility in hours may be required, as well as occasional early mornings, evenings and Saturday hours. Bachelor’s Degree required Relevant field preferred: Education, Communications, Marketing, Business administration or related field.
